Deaths on Colorado's Fourteeners was created to document these fatalities and preserve the stories behind them—including falls, rockfall, avalanches, exposure, medical events, lightning, and other causes.
The database combines publicly reported information with crowdsourced accounts. Whenever possible, incidents are cross-referenced and verified, duplicate reports are merged, and inaccuracies are corrected as new information emerges.
